Recent studies conducted by University of Pittsburg researchers have shown that wood frog populations close to farm fields are resistant to multiple insecticides - but not the herbicide Round Up.
Tadpoles from affected wood frog populations are resistant to chloropyritos, a commonly-applied insecticide worldwide.
Researchers found that wood frogs resistant to one insecticide also had a resistance to other insecticides, despite farmers changing the type used on farmland annually.
