My main research interest is in transitional justice, the law and the visual, and war crimes trials. My current project considers how we experience the law when viewing images. I focus on photographs of trials from the period 1944-1957 in Albania, Germany and Poland. The research resulted in an exhibition on the Albanian writer/political dissident Musine Kokalari at the National Science and Media Museum. As well as curating the display, I produced a short, 'arty' film to accompany it, entitled An Unsung Hero: Musine Kokalari (2017). Watch this space for my forthcoming monograph.
