Alexander Michael Tjahjadi is Sustainable Growth Lab Affiliate at Think Policy Indonesia, where he oversees projects related to the digital economy, environment, and social inclusion. Sustainable Growth Lab is a network for economists to build robust and enhance economic growth at the national and subnational levels using diagnostic and complexity economics methods. Michael had affiliation on the World Bank, Prospera, and Article 33
He previously worked and interned for Perkumpulan Prakarsa, CORE Indonesia, CSIS, Boston Consulting Group, J-PAL Southeast Asia, and Pusat Studi Pendidikan dan Kebijakan (PSPK) where he helped the Expert Staff in Ministry of Education and Culture and Evaluation Expert under PSKP. He was responsible for a variety of microeconomics research portfolios in the policy sector.
He earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Universitas Gadjah Mada. Concurrently, he is a graduate student for Philosophy at STF Driyarkara and Public Policy Management at Monash University Indonesia. Michael is also a Nusantara Scholar holder from Australia Award. He delighted in taking summer and online course from Paris School of Economics, Blavatnik School of Public Policy Oxford, and Harvard Graduate School of Education
