Caio Simões de Araújo

Caio Simões de Araújo is a postdoctoral curatorial fellow at the Centre for Humanities Research, University of the Western Cape, South Africa. He is currently the research officer at the Other Foundation, an African trust that advances equality and freedom in southern Africa with a particular focus on sexual orientation and gender identity. His research interests involve the history of Afro-Asian decolonisation, transnational histories of race and anti-racism, and gender and sexuality politics in the global south, with a particular interest in queer histories and memory activism.
