Casey Peter Mainsbridge

Senior Lecturer in Personal Devlopment, Health and Physical Education, University of New England

Casey has worked in Higher Education since 2003, throughout which time he has coordinated several units within the Health and Physical Education field. These units have included fields related to health, physical activity, HPE pedagogy, sports coaching, psychology and health behaviour change, community sport and recreation. His research is focused on health, wellbeing, physical activity, sedentary behaviour, HPE pedagogy, health behaviour change, motivation, and initial teacher education Professional Experience

Casey graduated from the University of Tasmania with a Bachelor of Human Movement in 1999. He has worked as a primary school HPE teacher, as a fitness professional in the health and fitness industry, and as a health professional with Adult Education for over 50’s population. He has been a registered fitness professional for twenty-five years working as a gym manager, personal trainer, fitness instructor, and industry health presenter.
