Christopher H. Evans

Professor of the History of Christianity, Boston University

A professor at Boston University, Dr. Evans has published widely in the fields of American religion and the history of Christianity. He is the author of several books including, "The Faith of Fifty Million: Baseball, Religion, and American Culture (co-edited with William R. Herzog II)," "The Kingdom is Always but Coming: a Life of Walter Rauschenbusch,"that received an Award of Merit for the best work in history/biography from Christianity Today magazine, "Liberalism without Illusions: Renewing an American Christian Tradition," " Histories of American Christianity: an Introduction," and "The Social Gospel in American Religion." His latest book, "Do Everything: The Biography of Frances Willard," was published by Oxford University Press in 2022.
