Clive D Fraser is a Jamaican-born microeconomics theorist who received much of his education from junior school onwards in the UK. His formal university education was at the University of Birmingham (BSocSci in Mathematical Economics, 1975) and University of Southampton (PhD in Economics, 1983). He has taught at the University of York (UK), University of Warwick, and University of Leicester - where he has been a Professor of Economics since 1995. Clive's main research area is the theory of public economics. He has published articles in this and contiguous areas in journals such as the Journal of Economic Theory, Journal of Public Economics, Journal of Public Economic Theory, Economica, Journal of Economic Behaviour and Organization, International Review of Law and Economics and Economics Letters. His current research centres on topics involving shared goods, charity and safety, especially where there are many interdependent decision-makers and/or risk impacts significantly.
