I am a PhD researcher at the Centre for Intelligent Games and Game Intelligence, based at the University of York (currently living in London). My research focuses on understanding emerging forms of in-game monetisation and its consequences for players. Examples of my completed and ongoing projects include a categorisation of predatory monetisation techniques in games based on stakeholder responses, working with big datasets to identify spending behaviours, and more. Prior to my PhD, I have studied Psychology and Human-Computer Interaction, and have worked in a variety of roles including data analysis and UX design. Ultimately, I am driven by being able to help people through doing research which directly considers the needs of the stakeholder.
