Over the course of my academic career, I have been exploiting the interface between conservation and technology to gain a better understanding of African birds and bird communities. Despite my training as an avian ecologist, my interests and perspectives within the realm of conservation follow an eclectic path, which I try to incorporate into my research, as well as my non-academic writing.
