Garth Maker Graduated from Murdoch University with a PhD in Biochemistry, working on neonatal respiratory distress syndrome using a variety of mass spectrometry detection systems. His research revealed the presence of a signalling protein that can potentially pave the way for new treatment options. Dr Maker is currently a Lecturer in pharmaceutical chemistry and works closely with the Separation Science Laboratory by applying a variety of GC, HPLC, GC/LC-MS and FTICR-MS techniques to investigate human and animal biochemistry and physiology.
