Dr Jude Ball has 20 years experience in the population health field and for the past 10 years has worked in the Department of Public Health, University of Otago. Her doctoral research explored the drivers of long term trends in adolescent risk behaviour, in particular smoking, cannabis use, binge drinking and sexual behaviour. She is interested in the impact of the changing social context on youth trends, and the inter-relationships between smoking and other risk behaviours in young people. She is a member of the ASPIRE2025 tobacco control research group, and New Zealand's Adolescent Health Research Group.
