Professor of Energy and Society, SPRU, University of Sussex Business School, University of Sussex

Prof Mari Martiskainen is a Professor of Energy and Society, based at the University of Sussex. She is a Director of the Energy Demand Research Centre (EDRC), and Co-Director of the Sussex Energy Group. Mari has worked on a range of research projects including topics such as energy efficiency policies, innovation processes linked to community energy, influences on household energy consumption and the diffusion of small scale renewable energy technologies. Her current research focuses on the ways by which to reduce energy demand across society, while ensuring that we address inequalities such as fuel poverty and transport poverty.
