Professor Melanie Davern is Director of the Australian Urban Observatory at RMIT University and a Vice Chancellor's Senior Research Fellow. Her research interests focus on liveability, community and individual wellbeing with specific expertise in the development and use of indicators as a measurement tool for policy development, program evaluation and community engagement. Melanie has extensive expertise in the development and application of indicators for health, social and community planning, worked closely with a range of government and community partners and is passionate about the translation of research into policy and practice.
