Dr Nicola Hanrahan is a postdoctoral research fellow at Charles Darwin University focussing on the conservation and ecology of the ghost bat (Macroderma gigas). Nicola is also on the executive committee for the Australasian Bat Society in her role as Newsletter Editor, and is the Bat1K regional chair for Australia. Nicola's research interests include acoustic social communication, particularly in bats, and the conservation of threatened species.
