Paul Gill

Postdoctoral research fellow in Immunology, Monash University

Paul is a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Immunology, Monash University. His current research focuses on the immune response to COVID-19 vaccination. He has a background in biomedical science, with expertise in immunology, microbiology, gastroenterology and nutrition. He has expertise in the interaction between the gut microbiota and the human immune system. Paul completed his PhD at Monash University in Australia, where he studied the influence of diet on the human immune system through interaction with the microbiome. He previously worked as a post-doctoral research fellow at University College London, where he studied the role of innate immunity in Inflammatory Bowel disease. He has experience conducting human dietary intervention studies and lab experience running immunological and metabolomic analysis of human biological samples. He has presented his research at both national and international conferences and has published over 20 peer-reviewed articles.
