Peter is currently a PhD candidate at the University of Liverpool in the Politics Department. His thesis focuses on how voters evaluate party leaders, understanding the change in fortunes for specific party leaders and how feelings towards party leaders can change during the 'short campaign'. His recent work has utilised British Election Study Panel data to analyse individual-level changes over time.
His other research interests include, partisanship and party identification of the UK electorate, the role of party leaders in the Media and effectively visualising research data.
