Scott Willoughby

Dr Willoughby is NHMRC Career Development Fellow and Leader of the Thrombosis and Vascular Biology Laboratory at the Centre for Heart Rhtyhm Disorders, University of Adelaide and Royal Adelaide Hospital. His current research interests include thrombotic and vascular abnormalities in (1) patients with atrial fibrillation, (2) consumers of energy drinks, and (3) children with sleep disordered breathing. Dr Willoughby has received several awards during his career, including the prestigious Young Investigator Award in Thrombosis at the World Congress of Cardiology Meeting in 2006. Dr Willoughby has received research funding from the NHMRC and Heart Foundation.
